What is the purpose of the NoMa Bicycle Network Study?

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will review existing bicycle plans and provide recommendations for improved bicycle mobility between the NoMa area and downtown DC.

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) established a bike plan in 2005 to provide safe and convenient on-street facilities for bicycling. In 2015, DDOT later created and adopted move DC a long-range multimodal transportation plan including updated recommendations for bicycle facilities. The NoMa study will examine those recommendations and consider the potential impact of planned transportation improvements and land development on bicycling in the NoMa area.

This DDOT study will review existing bicycle plans and provide recommendations for improved bicycle mobility between the NoMa area and downtown DC.
